Having sold Kalea in December 2025, in April Jo and I went to Canada to view what we thought would be a reasonable replacement, only to return very disappointed and deflated as the yacht fell very short of our expectations. This was made worse by the realisation that replacing Kalea was likely to be nigh on impossible. [Kalea is a 21m Italian Ketch built by Cantieri di Pisa in 1964 which we had restored over a three year period and was rather splendid as a result]
