We found Twilight up a creek in Bermuda in early 2003, her owner having moved overseas at the end of 2002.  She needed a bit of sprucing up and some interior fit out, but was in very sound condition having undergone a complete restoration in the 1990s.  She has been kept in A1 condition since then, with a few alterations made by us as and when required.

 

We lived on her for 2 years in the Caribbean both cruising and racing (she won many of her races at the Antigua Classic Regatta in 2004 and 2005, and got a 2nd in the Concours d'Elegance), before sailing back across the Atlantic double-handed in 2005. The first year living on board we sailed engineless, but with the help of a very generous wedding present, we installed a Yanmar 3GM30 in Trinidad before returning to the UK.  We usually sail her with 2 of us and she is very manageable, but have a crew of 4/5 for racing in Cowes when we need a spinnaker.

 

In 2008 we managed a bit of silverware with a first in class and 2nd overall in the ISC Class of the Round the Island Race beating over 800 other boats.

 

Last year we managed a more modest 4th in class, and 9th overall in the ISC Division.  This year we are hoping to keep a good crew for Tuesday nights in Cowes, the Round the Island and most importantly to challenge the other Lions again at the Cowes Classic Week.
