Now in its ninth year, the BCYC Panerai Cowes Regatta has now become part of the prestigious Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge. From just a few boats when the Cowes event first started, 2009 saw over 60 entries taking part.  2010 promises to be an exciting year with some of the world’s most famous Big Class racing yachts expected
to attend.

Racing takes place all week starting on the Monday and also includes a round the Island race (weather permitting) on the Tuesday and a Challenge Day on Wednesday when any boat can challenge a boat larger than itself.  The on-the-water action culminates in a Parade of Sail on Saturday 24 when all the yachts come together to sail past th e Royal Yacht Squadron.

Non-racing yachts who would like to be part of the regatta will be able to enter the Rally Division which has a programme of ‘Sail in Company’ trips and other activities planned.

The event is not just about racing, it is also an opportunity for classic boat enthusiasts to get together and enjoy the spectacle and elegance of boats from a bygone era.  To make sure you are part of this year’s regatta, please put your entry in early.

Berthon have very kindly offered to produce a colour magazine for the regatta which will include details of all the yachts entered.  Please complete the form and return to Berthon by May 28th to ensure your yacht is included.
