The Trophies

Over the last six years the BCYC has been lucky enough to be given a number of spectacular trophies:

Winner under IRC of the Classic Round the Island Race:

  • The Moonbeam Trophy

Winner in Class of the Overall Series:

  • The Racing Class Trophy
  • The Corinthian Cup
  • The Commodore's Cup
  • The International Metre Trophy
  • The Universal 6 Cup
  • The Universal 8 Cup

Each year the format and makeup of classes changes and, where possible, we match the most appropriate cup to the class.

Je Ne Sais Quoi

New for 2007 was the Cetewayo Cup donated by David Murrin, owner of twice Je Ne Sais Quoi winner, Cetewayo. This prize is judged and voted for by the entrants, and awarded at the end of the week to the yacht felt to be

  • most stunning
  • most elegant
  • most hospitable
  • most in keeping with the theme.

A yacht which has that "Je ne sais quoi....."

Crew Register

We will be maintaining a register of crew available for the regatta. This will be made available to entrants who specifically ask us for details of available crew.

If you would like to add your name, contact details and a brief summary of experience to this register please email them to Catriona Hart at ecwhart@yahoo.co.uk. Please ensure that you are happy for these details to be circulated to regatta entrants.

We will do our best to facilitate, but cannot guarantee, the process of putting entrants in touch with available crew.
